The global COVID-19 crisis has an enormous impact on education. Because of this crisis, schools all over the world had to close and lessons were organised online for several months. This caused great pressure on teachers who, with no experience of online teaching, suddenly had to organise everything online from one day to the next. In order to support and guide teachers in their first steps in distance education, d-teach organised dozens of webinars. There was also the online community ‘Distance teaching tips’, a learning network to give teachers help, support and a push in the transformation from offline to online education. In addition, d-teach developed several education and training courses to sustainably professionalise teachers with regard to distance learning.
D-teach was awarded the DSJC label for its initiatives by the Digital Skills en Jobs Coalition.. This is a coalition for digital skills and jobs that unite Member States, companies, social partners, non-profit organisations and education providers , who aret aking action to address the digital skills deficit in Europe. We are very proud of this label and will continue our efforts to contribute to digital skills and jobs!
