An important aspect that was accentuated during this interview is the fact that technology will never replace the teacher. On the contrary, d-teach believes, despite the strong rise of digitization within education, very strong in the importance of the teacher within the learning process.
“Online education is empowering for student and teacher.”
After all, good teaching is not only about knowledge but also about human connection and personal interaction. And even in the digital classroom, these aspects are important to promote learning. After all, just because you teach online classes doesn’t mean you can’t have a personal connection with your students or create a mutual bond between them. For this, as a teacher, you do need, in the first place, digital skills and knowledge of online didactics. After all, online lessons can be just as qualitative, attractive and purposeful as offline lessons, but they should goal-oriented and not tool-oriented. In addition, as a teacher, you also have a good framework (vision, strategy, and organization) to properly teach online classes. This makes the difference between quality digital teaching and emergency teaching in the context of COVID-19.
