In the virtual setting, not only digital conference rooms were provided, but also online meeting places (reception, coffee room, yoga room, etc.) where you could look up colleagues and have a chat (with video and audio). The ideal way, of course, to get to know your professional colleagues, meet acquaintances again, etc.

The theme of this edition was ‘Sharpening the facets of online measures: Research at the cutting edge‘, an edition at which d-teach could of course not be absent. Colleague Maaike gave a presentation on ‘Measuring teachers’ synchronous online teaching‘ as part of her Baekeland PhD.

Now that more and more educational institutions and organisations are offering online learning programmes, more and more teachers need professionalisation and support in order to master this new way of teaching. This is especially true for synchronous online learning, in which the teacher and the students communicate online at the same time via video, chat and whiteboard modalities. In an earlier systematic review study, colleague Maaike identified the competences and roles needed to teach a small group of students synchronously online via a virtual classroom. During this presentation, she went deeper into measuring these competences.

We are looking forward to the continuation of your research, Maaike![/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” border_width=”2″ css_animation=”none” accent_color=”#00b0f0″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title=”back to the overview” style=”flat” shape=”square” color=”dteachtrainingblauw” size=”lg” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fd-teachtraining.com%2Fblog%2F|title:blog|” css=”.vc_custom_1604681401184{margin-top: 0px !important;border-top-width: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
